Introduction

Chinese Annals of History of Science and Technology (CAHST) is a peer-reviewed biennial journal published in English by the Institute of the History of Natural Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Science Press in 2017. As the first English academic journal of the history of science and technology in the Chinese academic community, CAHST aims to reflect the latest research results in the field of the history of science and technology in China and provide a communication platform for Chinese and foreign scholars. The journal encourages the study of perspectives and methods, with a focus on encouraging interdisciplinary, cross-cultural and cross-border research on the history of science and the history of knowledge, covering issues of dissemination and transformation beyond the Chinese tradition. CHST publications cover a wide range of content, including long research papers, reviews, studies of original documents and archaeological discoveries, book reviews, reviews of previous research, historical or methodological discussions, and industry trends. Each issue is special, focusing on one or more similar themes. Authors from all over the world are welcome to submit articles.
