Introduction

《Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment》(CJPRE) is a peer-reviewed international academic journal that publishes original research results in the fields of economics, population, resources and environment research related to sustainable development. The journal was founded in 1992 and is sponsored by the China Sustainable Development Research Association, Shandong Sustainable Development Research Center, China 21st Century Agenda Management Center and Shandong Normal University. CJPRE aims to explore and evaluate theoretical frameworks, capacity building initiatives, strategic goals, ethical values, empirical research, methods and technologies in this field. The journal initially focused on China’s progress in sustainable development, and now also focuses on global developments in developed and developing countries.
