Introduction

The initiative to start Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Quarterly (CABEQ) was part of the European Alpe-Adria regional cooperation between Austria, Croatia, Italy, and Slovenia. The journal aims to advance communication between chemical and biochemical engineers and scientists from Central Europe and Mediterranean countries.

CABEQ publishes original scientific papers, reviews, preliminary communications, professional papers, conference papers, opinion papers, and notes. The first issue appeared in March 1987 and it has been continuously published four times a year since then.

The journal is indexed in major databases including Current Contents, Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus, SCI, Chemical Abstracts, Chemical Engineering Abstracts, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology Abstracts, Chemischer Informationsdienst, SCI-Biotechnology Abstracts, and Russian Referativni Journal.
